The Philosophy
NatureNest was born from a designer’s perspective. We believe that even the most functional household remedies should be beautiful, tactile, and purpose-built for the modern home. Our signature block isn't just wood; it is a carefully considered geometry designed to maximize the natural protective power of Eastern Red Cedar.
Most cedar blocks on the market are cut with perfectly flat sides. It looks nice, but it creates a problem called Surface Area Suppression. When you stack flat blocks together, or place them against the flat side of a drawer, the surfaces sit flush against each other which "locks" the aromatic oils inside the wood, significantly reducing the amount of surface area available to release those protective vapors.

This isn't just an aesthetic choice but also a functional one. With a deliberate dual-concave arch in the block, we’ve created a shape that thrives on airflow. This intentional geometry ensures that the wood can release its protective vapors even when stacked in the most crowded spaces.

Our dual-concave profile increases the physical surface area by up to 15%. This maximizes the release of the natural oils, providing a superior shield for your essentials.

The curvature design creates air chambers between blocks. Even when stored compactly or stacked in a drawer, air continues to circulate through the concave, maintaining 100% functional exposure for the aroma to release itself into the air.

Precise flat margins are deliberately designed onto the edges to allow for modular nesting. Your blocks stay perfectly aligned in your drawers while the airflow channels underneath keep the cedar "breathing."
